In Salamina Coffee, the artist opens a nostalgic window into the steep streets and soul of Salamina, one of Colombia’s hidden architectural jewels. The perspective leads the eye through colorful facades, terracotta roofs, and a distant church tower, framed by an ornate arch and bathed in morning light. The scene invites the viewer not only to admire but to enter—to walk those streets, feel the warmth of the land, and smell the coffee and stories brewing within its walls. Artist Statement:
Salamina is not my birthplace—it is my inner landscape. This piece is a celebration of the town where I lived my early life, of its vibrant colors, its sloped roofs, and that sacred-yet-everyday mix that breathes through every corner. The protective arch and the descending light represent the blessing I’ve always felt when looking back. Here, each brushstroke carries the aroma of coffee, the echo of voices from the past, and the deep certainty that I belong.
